Once you have signed up for your 7Host account a
confirmation mail will be sent containing the following
information (please, take note of it in case of undeliverable
messages).

In Outlook Express, go to Tools - Accounts,
select the account you want to use with our server,
click Properties, go to Servers tab, click My Server
Requires Authentication checkbox, and click Settings.
Then check Use Same Settings as My Incoming Mail
Server. Do not check Log on Using Secure Password
Authentication box.

Mail Setup
In order to setup new mail accounts, logon in the control panel (www.7host.com/login.asp),
click on "Mail Administration", then click "Web Admin" on the upper right,
then click "User Administration" on the left and click on the "Add" button.

Folders in your web space
- html: This is the folder that the website
for the domain name points to. Inside this folder, you
should place your index.htm file as well as any other
HTML files, scripts and images that make up your website.
- html\public: This folder has read/write permissions for your scripts (e.g. FileSystemObject, AspSmartUpload, ...).
- private: This folder is for advanced users.
Scripts running on your site have access to this folder
but the folder is not directly accessible form the web.
You should place any databases your site uses in this
folder. If you are using Password Protection for one
of your websites, this folder is good place to put your
password text file.
- logs: Every time someone visits your site,
the system updates the current log file for your
website. Your log files are stored in this folder
and you can download them and delete them as you
wish.

DNS informations
Our DNS addresses your domain name has to point
to are:
- dns1.7host.com
- dns2.7host.com
Please note that the dns informations will take
up to 72 hours to propagate to all dns of the world,
in the meanwhile you may not be able to point to
your web space.
